Home-made Gluten Free Croutons

Updated: Feb 15, 2019

Going gluten free doesn't have to mean giving up delicious croutons on your caesar salad.

This recipe uses your favourite gluten free bread and just a handful of ingredients.

RECIPE

Serves: 4

Time: 10 mins.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 slices of fresh gluten free bread of choice.

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil, melted butter or ghee)

  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • 1 tsp dried oregano ( or dried herbs of choice)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. preheat oven to 375.

  2. Mix together oil, garlic, herbs and salt.

  3. Brush oil all over both sides of bread.

  4. Cut into cubes of desired size.

  5. Arrange on a lined baking sheet. (I line mine with parchment paper).

  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes. If you like your croutons a little crispier, you can also turn your oven to broil and keep them under the broiler for a minute or 2.

  7. Once cooled, store in an airtight container.
